Reporting of last week's visit to Pärnu.  We stayed in a small hotel called Tulbi.  Quiet, clean place very close to the beach and not far from city, ideal for us.  We had a family room which was really nice, enough space for us but of course we only slept there.  Weather was hot on Wednesday and Thursday and shallow beach and white sand was perfect place to be.  On Friday we went shopping and during the afternoon showers Heini and me had pedicure.  Saturday was spent on beach and last minute shopping before leaving to Tallinn and ferry to Helsinki.

Eating was as nice as in Tallinn, cheap and good food available in cosy pubs and restorants.  Afternoon coffee in small, lovely cafes was the most waited activity on our relaxing holiday.  Cakes were sweet and good.  And not even mentioning local beer...  Some is now in the garage waiting to get consumed.

Pärnu is definitly worth a visit.  But if the weather is not good for sun bathing there's not much to see and do in the city.  It really is a small place.  By car it's easy though to travel around Estonia to see old castles and manors.  There was many nice houses also in Pärnu but they are quite in poor condition.  Best are now hotels or restaurants.  Nice place to stay next time would be Villa Ammende or Katariina (no web site!).
