Needed to visit Tampere at the same time when all EU seems to gathered here.  I've never seen so many policemen and black cars in a same place as yesterday and today.  I'm wondering where they got those and is the whole Finland without guard at the moment?  Would be really easy to rob a bank somewhere in Ostrabotnia right now!  Tampere traffic is a mess, traffic lights not in use and some roads are blocked while guests are on the move.

Yesterday's assessment went well, no real findings recognised and cooperation works fine.  One of the assessors seemed to have own problems as he was somehow pissed off and had odd comments.  Lack of trust?  Very strange behavior.  Need to get more information on that later.  But otherwise it was a good day.

At night I went shopping and eating (Ceasar salad and chocklate cake) and watching the 'show' as the police was escorting black cars in and out of Hotel Scandic.  I bought earrings for Tuuli as her ears were pierced a month ago.  Heini will get an egg made of stone :-)  By the way Heini lost her phone yesterday and I called Elisa to close it just after work.  This morning I got a phonecall from somebody working for Vantaa municipality and he had found a mobile by a busstop (looked for 'äiti' in the directory!).  So Heini will get her phone back today.  There really is nice, friendly people around there.  Thank you goes to all of them around the world!

I had a sauna in my hotel room so I relaxed the end of the day in there and wondered how nice life can be.  This morning I went to Tammelantori to buy 'mustamakkara' for Jouni.  I bought it from a company owned by our famous ski jumper, Matti Nykänen's wife, Merja Tapola.  This black sausage is a very Tampere specific stuff and well known by everyone in Finland.  You rarely get it anywhere else.  I'm not going to take a picture of that, it doesn't look so nice :-)  I also bought a couple of little pumkins for halloween decorations.  Halloween will be here sooner than we realise...
