The day to leave the hotel and we were sleeping late.  All the walking and seeing had tired us and we needed the rest.  Packing took some effort as we had eventually done some shopping and getting luggage closed was as difficult as ever.  After the breakfast we went off to first get luggage to Paddington.  Then to Kensigton High Street where were Heini's list last shops.  Sun was shining and we stopped for cappuchinos in a small cafe.  There was even accessible free wifi so we did check-in to the flight to smooth the procedures in the airport.

Now it was the time to do the serious shopping.  Heini both a dress and some makeup or sorts, I got two books and nailpolish.  Then we took the tube to Westminister and Heini got some nice pics of Big Ben and London Eye.  Sun was shining but the wind was fierce on Thames.  Just quickly had time a snack, sandwich and waffles and then to the Aquarium.

Last time was years back and I remembered the sharks but how they were grown!  Corals covered all the tanks nicely and there were big turtles and crocodile, fish of course, sea horse as weird as always,  Penguins were funny jumping into the water and up again, lovely creatures.

Walking by the river through the Xmass market stalls building up, most of them not open yet.  Across the river and tube to the Bank to visit the Bank of England.  Funny to see how people changed to business costumes getting near the City.  The bank was really glamorous, huge staircase and uniformed clerks by the door to help us find right directions.  We didn't stay to a tour, don't know if they do any but they should.

Time to get to Heathrow so tube to Paddington, get the luggage back and on to Heathrow Express.  No queue in baggage drop and only some people in security check and we were soon shopping our last Sterlings.  We had a meal, salad for Heini and pasta for me, and last Guinness before time to go to the gate.  Finnair had some problems with the gatering and we had to take sandwich with us before getting on to the plane.  Strange enough that the crue offeref the same sandwich with the coffee.  So why had to carry those in?

 

Back in Helsinki-Vantaa in time, luggage awaiting when we got to the carousel and bus ready to leave.  Back at Heini's in an hour after the flight arrived.  Not tired though so I watched some really odd film about living dead before getting to sleep...
