Waking up to a busy morning outside (single glass windows).  I was still in Finnish time and Heini too (or she just woke up me noising around the room and toilet).  Very English breakfast served in the basement going down lots of stairs, corners and doors.  Eating toast with butter and jam.  Of course coffee and juice too.  Breakfast had got some comments in hotels.com but we were happy with what we got.  One morning there were no bacon but who needs bacon in the morning.

Just after nine we were already out walking to our first destination (raining slightly). Five minutes and we're outside Madame Tussauds in a queue of ten people. It had been about 14 years since last visit and then we could not go to the horror department as girls were too young.  It was called Scream now and oh, we did scream once or twice.  There were alive people scaring our heart to the throat.  Walking very fast through the dungeons, scared every corner and keeping tightly on one anothers hands.  Vaxmodels were really good and looking like real people but photos show well what they were made of.  Last thing was a 3D movie Superstars saving London from a disaster.  Seats were moving, we got pokes to our back and showers to the hands.  Film was just short but it was fun anyway.

Heini had a list of shops she wanted to visit so we headed to Oxford Street to ramble a mile or two there.  Thousands of other people were coming or going, work or pleasure, but the shops were not too growded and it was easy to get around.  Heini found the shops but we did not buy much.  I didn't because I feel that I have everything anybody could need for the next ten years (you know when you move and have to pack everything you own and then unpack also…).  We had a nice pub lunch, Heini had fish 'n chips and I got a chicken and chorizo burger going down with our first Ale's (Wainwright and some other).

In the afternoon we went to Leicester Square to get tickets to musical for the night. Having feet hurting already we still wanted to go to Harrods for some Xmas decorations so we hopped into the tube and got to Knightbridge. It was getting darker and the Xmas lights were on already, very beautiful.

Getting back to hotel to get changed and a quick snack before heading to Her Majesty's Theatre to see The Phantom of the Opera.  We got seats in the last row at stalls, clear view to the stage.  But not seeing so well all that was happening high above, chandellier rising up and something else too which I don't remember.  But what a performance!  Lovely set, clothing and beautiful actors and their voices, just superb.  So vivid colours, lots of lights, candels and gold.  Smoke effects, walking in to mirror, panting on a river, lots of vow effects :)  Heini had seen the movie but I only knew something about the show.  It was about time to see it alive!
