Monday was a busy day as I had a lunch with colleagues before a doctor's appointment at noon.  Lunch was nice, a rare opportunity to meet friends from the headoffice.  We met in a new shopping center, Kaari and ate at La Famiglia.  Tasty pizza for me and some meat stew for the others.  Shopping just quickly but I found some things which I've been looking for: a basket for baking bread, well actually to raise the bread and also a tiny crochet angel which I can use as a model to do for Xmas.

After the doctor's I went back to Heini's to finish packing and then we left to airport.  We used the tram to get to a  bus from main railwaystation.  It took quite awhile as it was the rush hour but we were well in time at Helsinki-Vantaa to do some shopping and just a quick meal before getting on the plane.

Arriving to London at 8:40pm.  While packing at Heini's earlier in the afternoon we had TV on and there was some budget traveller's program telling about London.  We got some good ideas for our stay.  First one was to get London Express to get to Paddington, very easy and fast, not too cheap, 32£ return.  Then we both an Oyster card to travel easily in London, 25£ each but some 5£ deposit refunded on our last day when returning the card.  Our hotel was near Baker Street station.  We were there in an hour after we landed to Heathrow.  Clean but tiny room but we were not planning to stay there, needed just a place to sleep.

After planning the next day it was time to lay heads on the pillow, good night.
