I was lazy and wrote the travel report in Finnish so here's a summary for my English speaking friends.  Pics you have to scroll from the Finnish reports :)

Tuuli and me left on Thursday after work heading to Paris to visit my friends Sari&Ari who have lived there for years already.  They have a nice apartment and can B&B couple of visitors easily.  Very well situated a walk's distance from Arc de Triomphe.  We arrived in time for aperitives and met another family on their visit at S&A's place (living in a hotel though).  We had a super dinner in a restaurant nearby, Agabe Bistro.  Really a nice start with pastis and everything for our stay in Paris.

Friday program included a visit to Louvre and an art gallery having an opening night showing water colours of art school students.  Very social event, met two Finnish ladies having lived in France for decades.  Interesting stories how they ended up living in Paris with a French husband.  Art is always fascinating and in it's best also wakes up feelings and thoughts that are kept somewhere deep under at normal daily life.  The day in Louvre was happy, joy of watching the sculptures was almost overwhelming.  Being there with Tuuli was a spot on.

Saturday was for serious shopping, also at Champs Elysees.  Not too much money spent as we managed to walk by the Dior, Gucci and Cartier shops without entering.  At night we had tickets to Alicia Keyes concert Piano & I.  It was magnicicient, really.  Thanks to S&A for thinking us when at the booking office!  She can play piano and sing and what a voice!  Shivers and goosepumps!  After the concert we had dinner at a provencal restaurant nearby.  Reminded of Nice some years back...

Sunday tourism at Saint Chapelle, Conciergerie and Notre Dame.  Walking at the allies of St Louis island.  Watching the street life, Seine and the boats drifting by, enjoying lunch at a Parisian small restaurant. Felt like being on hols :)  At night we had an excellent dinner at the restaurant S&A.

Monday morning was hard, Tuuli was not well and we decided to skip Eiffel tower. This was the last day so we needed to get the gifts for Heini and Jouni so we headed to Lafayette.  Good shopping and a cup of coffee made the trick and Tuuli was alright.  Afternoon spent in Park Monceau reading and picnicing.  In the evening Tuuli did one watercolour to thank S&A for our stay.  Scene from the living room window, the Pereire roundabout.  Last dinner in a Corsican restaurant, everything was excellent: owner (straight from Asterix&Obelix) welcoming us, the food, atmosphere, company.  Raining outside made the light just great.
