It has been busy and interesting holiday thus now time to report.  But this morning I've got couple of minutes while Jouni is having breakfast.  Then we are leaving to downtown.  But now starting from Sunday.

Sunday morning we started driving to Xochicalco, south of Mexico City.  Fast motorway, driving over the hills to 3100m and then down.  Wonderful views.  Xochicalco is one of the ancient ceremonial sites of the Aztecs around 650-850AD.  Having visited last year the pyramids in Teotihuacan I knew what to expect but the place was really different.  There was much more houses or something which could have been used to normal living.  It was hot day, temperature reaching 30C.

Driving then to Cuarnavaca where we stayed in Los Mananitas.  The hotel was like from Karen Blixen's Out of Africa, British colonial like atmosphere, beautiful, calm, old, well taking cared of.  Palms, flowers, exotic birds wandering in the garden.  Afternoon drinks in the terace overlooking to the garden.  Rooms were huge, full of antics, lovely wardropes waiting for us to make ourself feel rich and famous.

Dinner in Casa Hidalgo in the city center. Weather was still warm and we ate at the terrace. Very romantic, watching the nightlife at the market place.
